The founding partner of Garrison Trial Attorneys, Gregory M. Garrison, was born in Battle Creek Michigan on April 18, 1968.

When Mr. Garrison was 15 years old his father was transferred to Hawaii to manage a group of Sears stores which were located on several of the Hawaiian Islands. Mr. Garrison learned to surf big waves, was a member of an outrigger canoe club, hunted, fished, and spearfished often.

Mr. Garrison does not shy away from hard work, hard cases, or earning results. Mr. Garrison has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in business litigation, class action, personal injury, construction defect and community association litigation. When he is not practicing law, Mr. Garrison competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, recently placing second in the 2017 U.S. National Championship in his division. In 2024 Mr. Garrison placed second IBJJF No Gi World Championship.

After graduating from Iolani High School on Oahu in 1986 Mr. Garrison went to college at the University of San Diego. Mr. Garrison graduated from USD in June 1990. Mr. Garrison played Rugby at USD for several years and captained USD's developmental team while attending USD Law school. When Mr. Garrison graduated from USD law in December 1992, he opened his own law office. All of Mr. Garrison's work was litigation. Mr. Garrison tried many criminal, business litigation, personal injury, and other cases throughout California and in other states.

In or about 2020 Mr. Garrison was privileged to represent UFC Hall of Fame fighter Ken Shamrock in a case against the UFC. Ken had a rule that he didn't break: If you worked for Ken you fought and trained every day. No exceptions and no excuses. Mr. Garrison began training Brazilian Jui Jitsu with Fabio Santos when he was 42 years old. Mr. Garrison received his black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu after placing second in his division in the IBJJF No Gi World Championship in 2024.

Brazilian jiu jitsu is in the Garrison family's blood. Mr. Garrison's 18-year-old daughter Savannah was raised in the gym and is a four-time world champion in Brazilian Jui Jitsu who also won the PAN AMS and multiple U.S. National Championships. Mr. Garrison's youngest daughter, Alexa, is a high-level volleyball player who is committed to the sport and wants to play D-1 volleyball in college.

Mr. Garrison carries the memories of hard lessons learned from losses on the Rugby pitch, jiu jitsu mat, surfing big waves, and fighting when survival sometimes seemed impossible, only to come back stronger and better. Everyday Mr. Garrison and his lawyers are privileged to have the ability to fight for the rights of others who have been injured, cheated or otherwise taken advantage of.
